THE BODYGUARD AND THE SHOW DOG is a laugh a minute story in the best Janet Evanovich style. The situations that Natasha finds herself in are hilarious, her attempts to balance her career and her relationship are the makings of an Emmy winning sitcom. Ms. Tillery French's Bodyguard series is one that will have you laughing and cheering Natasha's bid for independence even as you feel complete sympathy for Jonce's quest to keep her safe from herself. A wonderful book for an afternoon read.

The Bodyguard:
by Christy T French
Opening the cover of a new Christy French book is always an adventure. The dialogue is witty and spicy. The story moves along at a rapid pace, with the action usually unexecpted and at times hilarious.
--Barbara Buhrer, Reviewer, Myshelf.

Ms. French blends comedy, suspense, personal trauma and hot romance and presents a fine read. And cool characters. Watch out for the Pit and Bigun bodyguard team! Make the effort to find "The Bodyguard".

SCHEDULED EVENTS: 2007

Saturday, July 7th, from 2:00-4:00pm:

Hello! If you're going to be in Knoxville, TN on Saturday, July 7th, from 2-4 p.m., I'll be signing copies of The Bodyguard and the Show Dog at Carpe Librum Bookstore, 5113A Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 865.588.8080, http://carpelibrum.booksense.com. Proceeds will be donated to Wolf Creek Weimaraner Rescue (http://wcweimrescue.org).

I'm a volunteer with this amazing rescue group and it seems there is never a lull in the number of Weims in need of rescue. One was recently turned into our local animal sheter, where she would have been euthanized if they had not contacted Wolf Creek. There are so many sad stories we hear/observe, yet this is counterbalanced by the wonderful adoptions and responses from happy families. If you've ever owned a Weimaraner, you know what I mean when I call them hudogs - part human, part dog. Our own Emma Blue is a rescue from Wolf Creek. I don't know what happened to her in the past, but according to our vet, it was so traumatic, she ground the enamel off her teeth. She is a fantastic dog, sweet and well-behaved. I take her with me practically everywhere. And she'll be at Carpe Librum on the 7th, so if you're in town, please stop by and say hello and meet some amazing Weims.

In the meantime, for all you dog owners, give your dog a hug and kiss from me. They're amazing creatures and can bring so much joy into our lives.

Sunday, July 8th, all day:

For you on-liners, I'm featured author at Summer Mystery Reading Challenge, http://reviewedbyliz.com. Please stop in, look around, and feel free to add comments or post questions. I'd love to hear from you!

More information to follow re: Saturday, November 11th, from 2:30-4:30pm.
