THE BODYGUARD AND THE SHOW DOG is a laugh a minute story in the best Janet Evanovich style. The situations that Natasha finds herself in are hilarious, her attempts to balance her career and her relationship are the makings of an Emmy winning sitcom. Ms. Tillery French's Bodyguard series is one that will have you laughing and cheering Natasha's bid for independence even as you feel complete sympathy for Jonce's quest to keep her safe from herself. A wonderful book for an afternoon read.

The Bodyguard:
Opening the cover of a new Christy French book is always an adventure. The dialogue is witty and spicy. The story moves along at a rapid pace, with the action usually unexecpted and at times hilarious.
--Barbara Buhrer, Reviewer, Myshelf.

Ms. French blends comedy, suspense, personal trauma and hot romance and presents a fine read. And cool characters. Watch out for the Pit and Bigun bodyguard team! Make the effort to find "The Bodyguard".

The Bodyguard and the Rock Star

Protection specialist Natasha Chamberlain thinks guarding popular English rock star Giki during a tour of the Southern states will be easy and fun. She couldn't be more wrong.

In no time at all she finds herself bogged down in Giki's crazy world of sex, drugs, shoplifting, and an uncontrollable sweet tooth. If that's not bad enough, Giki is being hunted by a ruthless cyberstalker, intent on putting an end to her career.

The Bodyguard and the Show Dog

Although protection specialist Natasha Chamberlain thinks there shouldn't be much danger guarding a show dog, after she ends up in the emergency room three times, tangles with a criminal biker, is beaten up by a state employee and faces off with an animal abuser, she changes her mind.

All proceeds from sales of The Bodyguard and the Show Dog at benefits sponsored by Wolf Creek Weimaraner Rescue of Knoxville, TN will be donated to Wolf Creek. For other events, equal proceeds will be donated to Wolf Creek Weimaraner Rescue of Knoxville, TN and Young-Williams Animal Center (Knox County Humane Society). Thank you in advance for your support of these fine organizations.

I have always loved to write and in grammar school started my school's first newspaper. After school, life got in the way (I got married and had two kids) and didn't begin writing again until I started my own business and during unbusy periods would write to amuse myself. Before I knew it, I had written five novels and figured maybe I better do something, so I found an agent and he found a publisher. Now, if I could just make writing my vocation instead of avocation! I have extensive background in the legal and medical fields. Therefore, my major influences have been friends who are attorneys and psychologists, along with Arthur Bohanan, a forensic expert from Knoxville (who developed the method for lifting fingerprints off bodies).

  • srclogo4.jpg RBL Summer Mystery Reading Challenge

The goal of this challenge is to read six mysteries by authors whose works you haven’t read before between June 1st and August 31st and to have a place to discuss them with other mystery readers. Why only new-to-you authors? The mystery category has EXPLODED in recent years. There are lots of great authors writing in many mystery sub-genres – suspense, cozy, historical, thriller, romantic, noir, medical, supernatural, police procedural, etc. This challenge gives you the incentive to sample the works of these new and new-to-you authors. Our goal is to make this challenge as inclusive as possible. Read six mysteries of any type by authors whose works you haven’t read before between June 1st and August 31st and you will have completed the challenge. We are limiting this challenge to adult readers because the discussion of the books may contain material inappropriate for kids and the prizes are adult mysteries.
